Start Your Journey
We want you and your whānau to thrive on your journey toward home ownership. To ensure success, we take the time to understand your situation and determine which one of our Progressive Home Ownership Pathways can best support you.
How we can help:
Financial Education Support
The first step to becoming a home owner is understanding your finances. We’re here to help, covering everything from budgeting to navigating mortgage applications.
Pathways to Home Ownership
We offer various pathways to home ownership including rent-to-buy, shared ownership, and license to occupy, and will work with your whānau to determine the best steps to achieve your goals.
Resources
If you’re looking to learn more about the process of buying your first home or are wanting to explore the available avenues to fund your mortgage our selection of resources will help guide you.
Is Kaenga Hou right for your whānau?
Every journey to home ownership looks different. We provide tailored support that fits your needs and ensure the programme aligns with your financial capacity and readiness.
From there, we build a pathway that empowers you to achieve and sustain home ownership.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Get in touch
Tell us about your situation. Are you part of a project, a hapū group, or an individual whānau member? A quick email or form submission gets the conversation started.
Step 2: We talk it through
We will ask you more about your whānau’s needs and your financial readiness. There is no rush and no judgement, just an honest conversation about what is possible.
Step 3: We find the right pathway
Once we understand your situation, we will let you know what Kaenga Hou can do and what the next step looks like. If we are not the right fit right now, we will say so and help point you in the right direction.
